It’s an archaeological delay to house building on Slate Meadow while the finds are investigated and it makes the front page of this issue. On page three Wooburn Residents Association have plans for the year and lots happening.

Bourne End Women’s Institute are the heroes featured on page four as they raised money for Target during 2023. Then on page six a new café features that is close to the station and called The Goods Yard. It’s the brainchild of Shellwin who provide office and industrial workspace locally and have done so through three generations.

Local authors feature on page seven as they explain what inspired them to write and how they dealt with the complicated world of publishing and promotion of their book. Flackwell Heath’s Repair Café features on page eight and a delightful chicken with a broken beak that was sorted in no time at all. Great British Spring Clean and litter pick is on page ten.

Upper Thames Sailing Club show old photographs of how their clubhouse used to look. Then their current premises that are very 21^st century. Please support their open day fund raiser. Kiddie Crafts in the library on a very wet day had loads of interest from the little ones as they cut, coloured, shaped and created interesting things.

On page 20 there’s a Target fundraiser involving those old stamps you have at home and can no longer use. Please donate them to help the community magazine. Memories of Jean Peasley are on page 26 as her smile would light up an occasion. On page 27 Target celebrates its long serving distributor of the magazine over 55 years.

I remember, I remember ….. as the daughter of editor Doug Ginger remembers his days in the role with a special feature for the 60^th volume of the community magazine. Past Times on page 32 talks about property prices and who was Heath Robinson and how he was involved with Soho Mill. Plus all the usual features, lots of information about local events and the magazine for the local community.
