Help the Community Association celebrate its 60th anniversary and meet up with others involved over those years on Saturday 29th October between 09:30 and 13:00.
This day is for you along with anyone interested in those early days and the six decades of running a popular Community Centre at the heart of Bourne End. Many still live locally, others have moved away but this message is for you all.
Back in 1962 there was a local need for a place to meet, socialise, play indoor sports like badminton and where clubs would have a permanent home. It provided an amenity for the new influx of homeowners as well as those who had been born and raised in the village. It’s the memories that bring smiles as you spot a former Miss Bourne End or a contestant in On Target Quiz. Someone you recognise from a panto or an opera. The morning is for memories and we want lots of people to come along with their memories. Entry is free and there will be refreshments.
Entrance is free, there is ample parking and coffee and cake will be available.
