We will be hosting an exhibition of Ken Townsend's collection of Bourne End postcards on Sturday 29th June. This is the first exhibition of the cards in over 20 years.
On the 29th June at the Community Centre we will be hosting an exhibition of Ken Townsend's postcard collection. On display will be over 250 enlargements of cards from his collection. This is the first time they have been displayed for over 20 years. Ken, born in Wooburn, has lived in the parish all his life and has been collecting Bourne End postcards for many years. If you have an interest in the history of Bourne End why not pop into the Centre between 10:00 and 15:00 and take a trip down memory lane. Tea and Coffee available between 11:00 and 13:00
Bourne End Schools, later known as Claytons School, in the early 20th Century.
The school was active until 1970 when it moved to the current site in Wendover Road.
This site is now occupied by Alfred Court.
Entrance is by donation. This a fund raising activity of Bourne End (Bucks) Community Association.
